Autobiography - James Hetfield (Metallica) Contrary to the fact that there is an autobiographical area of the Menagerie, I am not an especially egotistical person. If anything, I am lacking in self-confidence. But I learned long ago that I will always doubt everything that I do, so the best thing is to simply do my best, and let others pass judgment upon my actions and creations. If I'm doing a good job, someone will inevitably tell me. Likewise, if I make a mistake, I have no doubt that I will be informed as to the error of my ways. But so long as I do my best, and do what I want, I can't go wrong. Anyway, I always find it interesting to read about my favorite artists, authors, and musicians, and see what makes them tick. What are they interested in outside of their chosen profession? What are their favorite bands, books, or Renaissance painters? And I figure that, if I find such reading to be of interest, someone out there might find my own pursuits worthy of note. So… here is an area of the Menagerie devoted to a bit of self-description.
