Specifically, I blame Piers Anthony for setting me on my life's path. But whatever the cause may be, I would not be where I am today without the inspiration granted to me by the many short stories, novels, poems, and essays that I have read in my lifetime thus far. Blood Tribe By Darker Haven is not the only gathering of blood mutants; those who are persecuted have a tendency of banding together, forming surrogate 'families' in order to help make the burdens of the world somewhat more bearable. This story introduces one such family, a motley group of vastly different blood mutants, drawn together by a common desire for safety and companionship.
