"I think the whole glory of writing lies in the fact that it forces us outside ourselves and into the lives of others."

I wrote my first book when I was four years old. It was a collection of two short stories, a poem, and a song, all about dinosaurs. Sadly, I no longer know where this early work of mine might be, and all I remember from it is the song. But from the time I was first able to write and spell words out upon a sheet of paper, I have had a love of writing. And though it took me another ten years, I eventually acknowledged this love, and decided to devote my life to the pen.
This area of the Menagerie is home to my fiction, the true gemstones of my trove of creativity. Most of my writing is not transformation-themed, and due to the amount of writing I am responsible for at work, I don't always find the inspiration to craft fiction anymore. But those stories that I do find myself needing to tell, that deal with change and metamorphoses of all sorts, may be found here.

Tales of Ill Wishes
|
|
Be careful what you wish for… a cliché, to be sure, but so many people fail to understand how important those words can be. There is no end to the number of tales of those individuals who fail to heed this warning.

A Better Gymnast
All Tanya wanted was to be the best gymnast in the competition. And that's all she got.
Weeping Willow
Nothing rivals the sheer unbridled power inherent in a thunderstorm. There are those who would go far to feel that energy surround them. And those energies seldom leave those who experience them unchanged.

The Saga of Blood
|
|
The Saga of Blood is my transformational pride and joy… how many different ways can I say that? If you are a fan of partial or mythological transformations, character-driven stories, or the repercussions of living with great physical changes, I believe you will enjoy these stories. And don't forget to check out the Saga of Blood main page.

A Saga of Blood
The story that started the saga… Aimee is a woman torn by her own transformation years ago, who has dedicated her life to the destruction of all monsters. But can a chance encounter with a new friend teach her that there are better ways to live than through vengeance?
To Fly Beyond the Sun
This is a touching tale about a blind boy, and the day his village was attacked by a monster.
Hunted
Continuing the tale of Aimee and Tara, this story expands upon the Saga of Blood universe, setting the stage for the growth of Haven.
Flesh and Blood
There is a stranger in Haven, and she has a secret. What is it that Lisa is afraid of? And how will Paradise change as more blood mutants arrive and make the abandoned building their home?
Autumn Leaves
Simply put, this is a love story. But like everything else, even love seldom goes unchanged in the Saga of Blood universe.
Those Who Dwell in Paradise
Six weeks have passed since Aimee and Tara discovered the building known as Haven. Seven blood mutants now live together in the abandoned complex, and together they have made great strides towards improving their living conditions. But there is still a lot of work to be done. And there is still the potential of danger right around the corner…

Short Stories
|
|
My preferred medium for writing is the short story. And by short story, I mean any piece of writing that is between 500 and 10,000 words, intended to be read in one sitting. Or something like that. Regardless of what you call them, they are snippets of the lives of those who do not exist, tales that must be told for one reason or another.

God
We are all God, when we create.
The Piper's Calling
Not every faerie tale has a happy ending. This is a retelling of the classic story "The Pied Piper of Hamelin," albeit with a darker tone and a bit of transformation thrown into the mix. I blame the music of Blind Guardian for inspiring this one.
Serpentine Metamorphosis
This is an old transformation vignette that I wrote… it later evolved into my first (and thus far, only) transformation sequence, no longer a part of the Menagerie. But having stumbled upon this short piece of literature recently, I figured it might as well be posted here, for the interest of those who visit this site.
Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright
This is one of my favorite stories. It is also one of my oldest, originally written long before I knew what an "Internet" was, let alone a "transformation community." Take one part love story, one part mystery, and one part horror, mixed together with a pinch of transformation to add flavor. Stir well, and read.
To the Victor Goes the Spoils
With great power often comes a great price; the balance must be kept. So with infinite power…
Unfinished Comic Script
I think this was a request by someone… if you know who, please let me know. Nonetheless, this script should serve as a warning: be wary of crossing boundaries that were never meant to be crossed.

Fan Fiction
|
|
I consider it to be to a subject's credit when something inspires me enough to write fiction of my own based on another's creations. I prefer my own creations, but there are times when I simply cannot resist taking someone else's work and... doing something creative with it. I do not take credit for the characters and settings in these stories.

A Wolf in Princess' Clothing
This untold adventure takes place in Agrabah, the home of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine (from the Disney cartoon series "Aladdin"). A wolf-like creature is terrorizing the palace, and it is up to Aladdin and his friends to get to the bottom of things.
