"He who binds to himself a joy
Does the wingéd life destroy
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sunrise."

The Menagerie was created as a means of displaying my transformation artwork on the Internet, so that others who are interested in this topic might be able to glean some sort of enjoyment from my work, as I have from the work of others. But transformations are not the only thing that I am interested in; believe it or not, this is only a hobby for me, one of a dozen different subjects that I devote my time and creative energies towards. No offense.
So this is the place that I post any artwork that is not related to transformations, yet is tangential enough to warrant being posted in the Menagerie. Characters of my own creation, individuals in strange situations… practically anything goes, and the only uniting factor is that nothing here has anything to do with transformations. So consider yourself warned.

Industrial Glue Accident

You would think that the sort of chemical research laboratories that develop hyper-strong glues, acids, and lubricants would make sure their employees aren't unnaturally clumsy or uncoordinated. But unfortunately, this is not the case. Case in point: this young security guard, who accidentally knocked over a barrel of experimental adhesive, spilling its contents all over her. It's not likely to be a mistake she makes again.
Trapped in Glue

There are many lessons in life that must be learned the hard way; a person can be told and retold the same thing over and over, but it often takes personal experience for a person to fully understand what he or she has been taught. This unfortunate woman has learned the hard way that long hair and powerful adhesives do not mix under any circumstances.

The Suits
|
|
In a possible future not too distant from the present day, the Earth is caught in a planet-wide energy flux of unknown origin. Several countries put together teams to investigate this flux and deal with the bizarre and often dangerous repercussions of the event (called "the Maelstrom" by the team of Scandanavian scientists heading international research into the energy flux), including Great Britain. The British team consisted of five people - two males and three females - wearing special suits that granted them unique physical abilities. However, soon after their first mission, the members of the team found that their suits had become permanently attached to their bodies. Needless to say, no one was quite happy with this turn of events, but thus far there has seemed to be little anyone could do about it.

Eric Armstrong

Eric Armstrong is the closest thing to a leader that the Suits have. He is a firearms expert with a deadly good aim, and has some military background as well. His suit-granted hooves allow him to run at high speeds, jump twice his own height, and deliver one heck of a kick.
Hannah Blair

One of the youngest members of the Suits, Hannah Blair is a master linguist and accomplished martial artist. Her suit grants her a head of prehensile synthetic hair, extremely long and extremely strong. Hannah is most able to blend in with the populace, though her hair still tends to attract attention, so she tends to be the one who goes undercover most often.
Richard Carlin

Richard Carlin always loved the water. So when he was given an aquatic suit by the British government, in exchange for becoming an agent with the Suits, he thought it was the coolest thing in the world. After he found his suit permanently bonded to his body, however, Richard began having doubts. Nonetheless, he is one of the more optimistic members of the team. Besides being the team's aquatic agent, Richard is also very knowledgeable about explosives.
Gail Evans

Gail Evans is one of the team of five British agents who found their experimental suits fused to their bodies. She is an expert in architecture and tactics, and is very well-versed with computers and electronics. And contrary to appearances, she does in fact have legs - they are encased in the prehensile fluid mass of her suit.
Marion Marsh

Marion Marsh was given the gift of flight by her suit. But she would gladly give it back if she could. Marion's suit is the most encasing, leaving only her face uncovered. As graceful as she is in the air, Marion's wings are cumbersome on the earth. Out of everyone on the team, Marion has taken her suit's bonding the worst. But she still holds a glimmer of hope that the condition can eventually be reversed. In the mean time, Marion devotes her broad knowledge base, as well as her natural agility and martial arts expertise, to the service of her country.
